CORESCAM is pleased to announce the launching of the Tipping Points Report at COP28 ( led by the University of Exeter, under Tim Lenton and David McKay’s team. This policy impact report was captured by different news, including The Guardian:

The report focuses on identifying points of ecosystem destabilization (known as tipping points) to identify when and where they may happen, and the drivers behind them.

The final aim is to prioritize conservation, enhance restoration and support proper management action in these highly threatened ecosystems.

The report counts on a large number of renown scientists and covers several dimensions of tipping systems: cryosphere, biosphere, social, governance.

CORESCAM’s team was happy to coordinate the coastal section of biospheric tipping responses (mangroves and seagrasses), co-coordinate the reef section (, and participate in the discussions around tipping points interactions and cascades (
